In-Person Childbirth Education, Facilitated by Edoukou Aka-Ezoua and Ari Eisen
4 Week Series: Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:30pm
3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2
This interactive, evidence-based childbirth education series is designed for expectant parents and their support people. It will help you feel confident, informed, and prepared for your unique labor and birth experience.
By the end of the class, you'll have a deeper understanding of:
The basics of pregnancy anatomy and birth physiology
The stages + process of labor and what to expect
Labor positions to support progress and optimal fetal positioning
Comfort measures for every type of birth + partner support skills
How to navigate the medical system with confidence and practice self-advocacy in any birth setting
Informed decision-making around common interventions and newborn care procedures
Postpartum tips to ease your recovery
This class fosters a non-hierarchical, participant-focused learning environment that honors your goals, energy, and autonomy. Through a mix of lecture, interactive activities, movement practices, and hands-on experience, you'll gain practical skills and knowledge to make informed decisions, advocate for your needs, and feel empowered as you prepare for your birth.
To honor the individual needs of the participants and due to the interactive nature of the class, space is limited to 5 expectant parents + one support person (10 total participants).
Parents who identify as queer/LGBTQ+ can schedule an optional, included one-on-one session with Ari to brainstorm and write their birth plan/preferences + decisions.
